Following some requests I now bring you a flash tutorial on more advanced flash game movement and hit testing. It will help if you have completed the Basic Game Movement tutorial, as it is this I am going to be expanding on.
Create a Flash Anologue Clock - As2
This is a simple tutorial for creating a realtime anologue clock. We will not focus on graphics at this point, just getting a working clock.
Flash Transparent Background
This is just a quick tutorial on enabling transparency in your flash files. For example, in this site menu at the top the orange dropdown buttons are in a flash file with a transparent background, to allow for the shape of the page to show through.

Simple Fade Gallery - Timeline Based - Flash(as2)
In this tutorial I will show you how to make a VERY simple fade gallery in flash, 100% done in the timeline. This is the most simple way of creating this effect, useful for website headers, banners and general looping through images. Of course this can always be done using photoshop to make an animated gif, but we’ll save that lesson for another day.
Using Motion Guides - Beginners Flash - As2
In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to use motion guides. These basically create a ‘path’ that a movieclip will follow, without you having to animate all of the frames at turning points etc.
