Today we are going to use Photoshop to create a
chocolate bar and create a new Photoshop style that
will help us change any shape into chocolate! Also,
after creating this Photoshop style, we can make a
chocolate text in a second!
Open Photoshop, click File > New (Ctrl+N) to
create a small new file and set the background color to
white.
Click and hold the "Rectangle Tool" (U), choose the
"Rounded Rectangle Tool" and draw a rounded rectangle
with a suitable size and any color.
Select the Shape1 layer, Click "Add a layer style"
icon located at the bottom of the Photoshop Layers
window and click "Bevel And Emboss...".
In the "Layer Style" window, Structure frame, set
the Style to "Inner Bevel", the Technique to "Chisel
Hard", the Depth to 510%, the Direction to Up, the Size
to 16px and the Soften to 6.
In the "Layer Style" window, Shading frame, change
the "Highlight Mode" to Normal, click the white area
next to it, set the color for highlight to dark brown
(simply enter 341f1a in the text box located at the
bottom of the "Color Picker" window) and click ok.
Also, set the color of shadow to dark brown
(341f1a).
In the "Layer Style" window check "Color Overlay",
Set the "Blend Mode" to Normal, Opacity 100%, click the
red area to set the overlay color to a light brown
(745b54) and click Ok.
Before closing the "Layer Style" window, let's
create a new Photoshop style to use it anytime we want
to convert a shape to chocolate by clicking the "New
Style" button on the right and typing any name (simply
chocolate), leaving the "Include Layer Effects" checked
and pressing Ok.
Now, our Photoshop style is ready, you can save
this chocolate bar image or not, your new chocolate
style will still be there anyway.
To try your new Photoshop style, create a new
image, click the "Rectangle Tool", choose "Custom Shape
Tool" (U), choose any shape you like from the top tool
bar.
Click Window > Styles to show the Photoshop
Styles window, you will find the chocolate style you
have just created at the end of the Photoshop Styles,
simply drag and drop it on the shape layer to convert
it to chocolate! You can drop some light shadow to it
if you like too.
You can also apply the Photoshop chocolate style to
text layers the same way you did with the shape.
