Today we will learn two of the most asked Photoshop Faqs: How to make a rounded corners rectangle and how to align objects in Photoshop. Fortunately those two tasks are rather easy in Photoshop, as we will find out right now.
  1. Make a new image in Photoshop by clicking File > New and specifying the desired width and height.
  2. In the recent Photoshop versions you have a ready made Rounded Rectangular Tool so if you have one, set the foreground color to the color that you want your rounded corners rectangle to be, click the Custom Shape Tool (U) and choose the Rounded Rectangular Tool or simply press U multiple times until you get the Rounded Rectangular Tool.
  3. Set the Radius value from the tool bar located at the top of Photoshop and simply draw your rounded corners rectangle, notice that the greater value you set for the radius the more rounded corners your rectangle will be.

  1. Select the two rectangles layers by pressing Ctrl and clicking the two layers.
  2. Select the Move Tool (V).
  3. Now, choose how do you want to align the two layers by selecting one of the aligning options in the tool bar located at the top of the Photoshop window.
