Understanding Dodge, Burn, Sponge Tools
The Dodge, Burn, and Sponge tools in Photoshop help you mimic a photographer’s tricks in correcting lighting in an image. We will be showing you the Dodge tool which will help you lighten an area and even the Burn tool which will darken an area. Finally we will show you the Sponge tool which can desaturate or saturate a color.
