I had real problems getting this to work. I have CS3. Did you do this in a previous version? Every time I right clicked and chose CREATE WORK PATH and with the text tool selected... my shape selection disappeared.

This tutorial was done on Photoshop CS2, I don't have CS3. May be other visitors will tell us if it's the same in Photoshop CS3. What I can say now is make sure you have the shape layer selected and you right click INSIDE your selection before choosing "Make Work Path".

Well, somehow when I went back to try it today....it worked. However, I didn't have to go through all of the trouble of deleting the shape layer and creating a work path. I just clicked on the border and hit the text tool and it did it all for me. CS3 must have made a few shortcuts. It is frustrating though when you have to get up and wait til the next day before your computer wants to do what you need it to do... haha

Doesn't seem to work in Photoshop 7. I don't get the different looking text cursor like in the picture. Unless I'm doing something worng but as far as I can tell I'm following all the instructions!

I see your text sits on the inside of the image. HOw do you do this? When I right click on the inside, my text always frames the outside. I want my text to follow the image but read from left to right, not right to left.

Follow step 8 in this tutorial, click anywhere inside your shape (left click not right click)and choose left alignment from the top tool bar.
